Becoming a volunteer gives you an opportunity to experience BALAIANA Eco Retreat in a very unique way. You become an intrinsic part of our community and our special way of life. We are opening our doors for you to become a part of our center. Our community consists of the guests, the staff, Flora our dog, vendors, tour guides, drivers and many others who are a part of our eco-system. We appreciate the process of learning, integrating and sharing.At Balaiana Eco Retreat we love to welcome you as a part of our international team. We offer you a place to make new experiences, discover the magic of Sardinia, learn or enhance your italian language, make new friends, expand your network, practice yoga and boost your social skills. Volunteering at our retreat center is a great way to meet new people from all over the world and offers you the chance to try out a new career without making a long-term commitment.Besides the working hours you will have enough freetime to explore the beautiful island, spend time at the beaches, go out for hikes, surfing, climbing or other activities.For a minimum stay in our team of 1 month (help in the kitchen), teaching depending on the Balaiana schedule we offer free accomondation and food for our volunteers. We highly recommend to come with a car to Sardinia because our center is situated in the countryside of the Galleria (N northern Sardinia) near the village Luogosanto and there is no public transportation near by.

We´re looking for openminded people with skills and experience in following fields of work in our center, as we would like to work with you in a varied way and manner to make your stay as varied as possible:

Working in the kitchen:
no special needs required, if you speak italian or / and german would be perfect to be able to communicate with our chefsWork as a yoga teacher/theraphist:
if you are already a yoga teacher with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a modern style of yoga like Anusara, Vinyasa of Hatha Flow we are happy to receive your application for teaching Meditation and Yoga as a part of „The Balaiana Sensations“ Depending on the time you want to come teaching skills in german and /or english are required.
